Driver Installation - Installing IDP Printer on MAC OS - SOLID PRINTERS

How to Install IDP Card Printer Driver on macOS (SMART-21, SMART-31, SMART-51, SOLID-210, SOLID-310, SOLID-510)

1. Connect the power cable to your IDP printer. Do not power it on yet.
2. Install a compatible ribbon into the cartridge and insert it into the printer. Watch the video for help.
3. Download the macOS driver from the official IDP site: Here
4. Once downloaded, unzip the file. macOS may do this automatically.
5. Locate the unzipped file in your Downloads folder.
6. Run the installer file to begin the driver installation.
7. During installation, you may see a warning like this:
   
8. Click the Apple icon → System Preferences (or System Settings on newer macOS versions).
9. Navigate to Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click “Open Anyway” to allow the driver to install.
   
10. Once complete, turn on your printer and return to System Preferences → Printers & Scanners → Click Add Printer.
11. In the Add Printer window, select your connected IDP printer. Under "Use", choose Select Software.
12. In the Printer Software window, choose your printer model (e.g., SMART-31, SMART-51) and click OK.
    
13. Click Add to finish adding the printer. You may rename it if you'd like.
14. Your printer should now appear under Printers & Scanners as Ready to Use.
